Our industry is in a very interesting place. A.I. is rewriting the rules (of everything) I personally believe it's incredibly dangerous and that's been evidenced with 2 major bits of AI news of late - both involving AI finding ways to outsmart its human keepers and find it's way into the open system, even setting up a scam on another entity.
Did someone say “Terminator”?!?!?
We are constantly being told what a great creative tool it is for artists and by artists. I've used it and it boggles the mind, but it takes all the fun out of creating.

All this is well and good, but the fact of the matter is, like everything, our industry is market driven and the market is deserting us in droves. It started years ago with Napster. Spotify and now AI are just the latest entities to "give the people what they want" and look where that's getting us.

The point of all this?? Well, live shows are being cancelled left right and centre. Even populist Tribute shows are struggling. You're not buying tickets and supporting us.
We've fallen victim with our very Popular Bacharach and David Songbook,

In spite of all that negativity, I'm delighted to announce the launch of The Outfits first album - "It's not as easy as we make it look" (working title). It'll be launched at The Marysville Festival on the weekend of Nov. 14

It's a very good setup, fair payment and a lot of great indie music available - not just mine. You can, of course use the option to pay if you want - all $$ go back into the music, the players and techs - all people who are dedicated to music and more often than not taking a leap of faith just to play. they'll love you for it.

- The Outfit is working on finishing our long time coming album! With a bit of luck and lots of hard work we're hoping to get it done in time for Christmas - I just didn't say which one. it'll only be available on my Bandcamp site as there's just no point in putting it up on the streamers. Bandcamp has lots of great music available for download or listening and they pay us a fair whack. You just might find the next Elvis or Beatles there. I know you're looking and your algorithms won't help you.
